The following guidelines are provided for informational purposes only and can be modified.
The majority of the courses are taught in French; therefore, a good level of understanding of French is recommended.
Objectives
The ‘Social and Economic Administration’ course is multi-disciplinary and crosses over the fields of law, economics, management and social sciences. Students improve their general knowledge and learn how organisations work and evolve and how they manage their concerns. At the same time, students develop their critical, analytical and reporting skills, as well as their decision-making and communication skills.
In the second year, students have to choose between two subprograms in the interest of helping them define their career plan:
- The ‘Public Sector and Civil Service training’ course is focused on political institutions, public law, public economics and social science for organisations, with emphasis put on comprehension and management of institutions, territories and social issues.
- The ‘Business Management and Administration’ course is aimed at students who wish to study business management, corporate and business law, human resources management, marketing, financial management, and digital transformation, in order to understand and administer private organisation in an evolving economic environment.
The teaching incorporates essential and transversal skills including IT tools use, English, project management, written and oral communication, critical thinking and collaboration.
The course encourages students to gain professional experience in the first and second years, with a mandatory 6-weeks internship in third year. These experiences enable students to develop their career path by gaining concrete work experience.
This comprehensive, grounded and engaging course provides the right training for the future workers in public and private institutions and associations.

Additional information
- The teachings of this multi-disciplinary course are progressive which give students enough time to gradually consider their future specialisation.
- The course offers the possibility for students to transfer from and to related degrees in the fields of Economics and Management, Law, Applied Foreign Languages, History, or more specialised courses outside the university.
- In complement of the lecture and classes, the students are provided with additional tutoring, to help them increase their potential.
- This course encourages students to gain professional experience in the first and second years, with a mandatory 6-weeks internship in third year. Additionally, students can choose to spend a semester or a year in a partner university abroad.
- The teaching staff is trained to help students with the development of their career choices. To guide students in their exploration of the professional world and increase their work experience, they are provided with personalised support and help during the development of their skills, in addition to meeting with different professionals.

Program
- The first year is structured around core subjects of economics, management, social science and law. It aims to develop analytical, judicial and digital (statistics, IT and AI sciences) skills as well as improving English comprehension and the understanding of organisations’ structures.
This degree trains students to analyse modern societal issues and students learn about possible perspectives in different professional environments (public, private or associations).
- During the second year, students have to choose between 2 subprograms:

- ‘Public Sector and Civil Service training’ combine theoretical courses (public law, economics, political sciences and sociology) with digital competencies and technical English vocabulary and grammar with the aim to prepare students to examine institutional issues at stake, and work in civil service.
- ‘Business Management and Administration’ combine more theoretical courses (economics, management, business law and sociology) with accountancy, data analysis, IT tools and technical English vocabulary and grammar with the aim of preparing students to steer and analyse modern private companies' budget or management.
All students must select a course set with the following: human resources, transformation management, trade and sells, bank and finance, public sector entrance exams, social and care sector, or urban planning and environment.
- In the third year, ‘Public Sector and Civil Service training’’ students go deeper in their theorical classes (public law, management and public financing) in association with improving their communicative and digital skills and professional English. The subprogram prepares students to analyse and consider social, local and organisational issues, then students are trained to make decisions and lead in political institutions.
The ‘Business Management and Administration’’ subprogram continues with business and social law, strategics and finance study, while improving students’ competency in marketing, communication, digital proficiency and professional English fluency. The specialisation prepares students to analyse and consider social, local and organisational issues, then students are trained to make decisions and lead in private organisations.
- Students must take a 6-weeks internship during the last semester of third year in order for them to put their skills and experience into action in the real working world.
- Finally, the course offers optional units to prepare efficiently the Teaching Economics and Management in Secondary Education examination.
