Objectives

Teaching for this course is provided entirely online for French or foreign students, particularly for students having a professional activity, preparing a teaching entrance examination, or already enrolled in another degree course, or for students living in Asia, Africa or other European countries.

Two separate websites are to be accessed on the Artois University website, one in French and one in Chinese. Each discipline contains a program of videos subtitled in both languages, and a section structured on the study of documents: texts, pictures, illustrations, and bibliographies.

This two-year course prepares students to work as Language teachers by developing teaching practices and pedagogical methods.

Intership duration

4 weeks in the 2nd semester and 3 months in the 4th semester

Program

1st year of Master’s
Semester 1 : 30 ECTS - Coef.1 (80h)
Semester 2 :30 ECTS - Coef.1 (86h)

4-week mandatory internship (10 ECTS - Coef.2). Students must present an internship report.


2nd  year of Master’s
Semester 3 : 30 ECTS - Coef.1 (80h)
Semester 4 : 30 ECTS - Coef.1 (58h)
          3-month mandatory internship in a school (20 ECTS - Coef.4).

To validate their second year, students have to write a dissertation about their reflections on their pedagogical and professional activities, or a research dissertation on teaching Chinese as a foreign language or Chinese linguistics or Chinese literature.

Access conditions

Potential students must attest to an undergraduate, bachelor-level education (at least).

The majority of courses offered at Artois University are taught in French, although there are a certain number of undergraduate and postgraduate courses with English options. A good understanding of the French language (at least B1 Level) is therefore necessary in most cases.
